Land into Legacy.
Community solar projects, built with the patience your land deserves. Across Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and New York.
Who we are
A focused community solar developer.
Harvest Renewables develops, finances, and brings to construction community solar projects in four states we know well: Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and New York. We work with landowners as long-term partners, with capital providers as disciplined operators, and with the communities hosting our projects as good neighbors. We move at the pace the work demands — neither faster nor slower.
Read more about our approach →For landowners
Long-term income. Stewarded land. A partner who picks up the phone.
Predictable income.
A community solar lease pays you a steady annual rent for the life of the project — typically 25 to 35 years. The kind of income you can plan around.
Land kept whole.
We don't pave or permanently alter the ground. When the project reaches end of life, we restore the land to the condition we found it in. The legacy passes to the next generation intact.
A real partner.
You'll work with the people making the decisions, not a rotating cast of project managers. We're a small team by design.
For the community
Local energy. Local jobs. Local revenue.
Community solar projects deliver clean electricity to subscribers in the same county or utility territory where the project is built. Subscribers — households, small businesses, and municipal accounts — typically save on their utility bills. Construction creates local jobs. Operations create local property tax revenue that funds schools, roads, and emergency services. The benefits stay close to home.

Four steps, each done thoroughly.
Site feasibility.
We evaluate your property against environmental, regulatory, and grid criteria. This is a desktop assessment first; we don't ask for a site visit until we've confirmed the project is viable.
Land agreement.
Once a site clears feasibility, we negotiate a lease or purchase agreement. Terms are transparent and reviewed by your attorney. Nothing is signed under pressure.
Development.
Over the next 12 to 24 months, we secure the interconnection, permits, and approvals required to bring the project to construction. You don't pay for any of this; we do.
Construction.
Once the project is fully developed and financed, construction takes 6 to 9 months. Your annual lease payments begin when the project reaches commercial operation.

Geography
Four states. Built around the markets we know.
We work in Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, and New York. Concentrated geography is a deliberate choice — it lets us build deeper expertise in each market's regulatory environment, interconnection process, and community-engagement norms.
